American singer-actress Katharine McPhee and her husband, music producer David Foster, have canceled the remaining shows of their Asia musical tour due to a family tragedy. The couple did not disclose the details of the tragedy, but said they need to be with their family during this difficult time.

McPhee announced the cancellation of the tour on Instagram. She wrote, "It's with a heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final two shows of our Asia run. David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us needs to get back home to our family. Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all."

Fans and friends have expressed their condolences to McPhee and Foster on social media. Singer Nicole Scherzinger said, "my love and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time." Linda Thompson, Foster's ex-wife, said, "Sending love and hope for your well-being."

McPhee and Foster are no strangers to tragedy. In 2009, McPhee's father, Daniel McPhee, died of cancer. In 2012, Foster's daughter, Amy Foster-Gillies, died of an accidental overdose.

The couple have been married since 2019 and have one son together, Rennie David Foster, who was born in 2021.

It is unclear when McPhee and Foster will resume their tour. However, they have promised to return to Asia one day and perform for their fans.

In the meantime, the couple's fans are sending their love and support during this difficult time.
