The 41-year-old talk show host shared her mental health update in the most recent edition of People magazine, which was published on Wednesday.
It appears that after her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children, Kelly Clarkson found herself in a difficult emotional state that persisted for seven years. One of the things that has helped her cope during these challenging times is her music.
'The level of depression and things that come with divorce or grieving is extraordinarily hard,' she told the outlet.

Releasing 'Chemistry' was like 'Taking My Power Back'
The process of creating her song "Chemistry" played a significant role in her healing journey.
'I didn't see it other than: This is my outlet. I'm a let-go person; I don't hold grudges. So it was really delving into what happened in my life and why—and what am I going to do about it?' she admitted.
'I cannot express how appreciative I feel for having that kind of healthy outlet.'
Releasing new music made her feel like she was 'taking my power back,' Clarkson emphasized.
Moving To New York City Was Exactly What She Needed

They were just in awe.”
Her career is currently thriving.
