These are the top pet-welcoming cities in the US owing to the  amenities like dog parks, pet-friendly beaches, and businesses that cater to our furry companions. 
Portland
Portland has the most dog parks per resident in the US, proving its a pet-friendly city. Dogs who enjoy playing in the sand and the water frequently visit Sellwood Riverfront Park. There are several options available in the city for those who love trail excursions. 
Asheville
For dogs who enjoy trekking, it is a desirable location. The North Carolina Arboretum offers a variety of trails that cover 10 miles through lush forests. For those who prefer more elegant trips, the 250 acres of pet-friendly landscaped gardens of the nearby historic Biltmore Estate provide the perfect setting for canines and their owners.

Additionally, the city has 134 dog-friendly restaurants, putting it 39th out of 97 cities, and around 18 dog-focused shops, ranking third among all cities in the research.
