Las Vegas welcomes the New Year with a delectable array of dining experiences, featuring diverse cuisines and unique concepts. Here are some new additions to the city's vibrant culinary scene:
1. 85 C Bakery Café
Originating from Taiwan and boasting over 1,000 global locations, 85 C Bakery Cafe has opened its second Las Vegas spot at 673 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson. Known for its ideal espresso-brewing temperature of 85 degrees Celsius (185 Fahrenheit), the bakery offers a menu anchored by sweet and savory delights. Options include milk breads, custard buns, danishes, tarts, cookies, and cakes, available whole or by the slice.
2. Flor Kitchen & Cocktails
This unique establishment, situated at 1405 E. Sunset Road, presents a fusion of a steakhouse, hookah parlor, and ultralounge. Chef Miguel Martinez curates a menu of globally influenced Latin dishes. In the later hours, Flor transforms into an ultralounge, offering bottle service in lowrider cars.
3. Piroshky Piroshky Pop-up
Hailing from Seattle's Pike Place Market, Piroshky Piroshky, an Eastern European bakery, is making a one-day appearance in Vegas. Place your order (with a $50 minimum) by 2 p.m. on January 14 through their website. Freshly prepared items will be flash-frozen for pickup between 5 and 7 p.m. on January 16 at Bad Beat Brewing, 7380 Eastgate Road, Suite 110, Henderson.
4. Sala 118
Nestled in the lobby of The Venetian, Sala 118 draws inspiration from the 118 islands of Venice. The bar and lounge offer a three-chapter cocktail menu featuring aperitivos, negronis, and classics with a twist. The lion fountain dispenses a house blend of bitters and vermouth.
5. Sorry, Not Sorry Creamery
This Vegas-born ice cream haven, named after a playful fauxpology, has opened its third location at 3239 Bicentennial Parkway, Suite 100, in Henderson’s Inspirada community. Known for using hormone- and antibiotic-free milk, Sorry, Not Sorry Creamery delights patrons with seasonal and signature flavors. Winter offerings include milk and cookies, gingerbread crunch, cherry amaretto chip, and spiced eggnog sugar cookie. Classic flavors range from mangonada spiked with Tajin to campfire s’mores and whiskey bananas Foster.
