After more than a month since the passing of the actor, Paul Reuben, the official cause of his death has been disclosed. He passed away at the age of 70 on July 30 after a courageous battle with cancer that spanned over six years.
The death certificate indicates that Reubens succumbed to acute hypoxic respiratory failure, a condition characterized by insufficient oxygen release into the bloodstream due to lung impairment. The document also unveils that Reubens valiantly confronted two forms of cancer during his final days. Acute myelogenous leukemia, a malignancy affecting the blood and bone marrow, is cited as an underlying cause, alongside metastatic lung cancer. What's particularly noteworthy is that Reubens chose to keep his diagnoses private until after his passing.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Reubens expressed his regret for not sharing his six-year battle with the public sooner. He conveyed profound gratitude towards his friends, fans, and supporters, acknowledging the immense love and respect he received throughout his career. 
Reubens' death certificate also specifies his cremation and final resting place at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Notable figures like Dee Dee Ramone, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, and Tyrone Power have also been buried in this historic site.
