Recently, previous statements made by prominent women, including Katy Perry, have regained attention in light of allegations against Russell Brand, which include accusations of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse. These allegations have been made by four women who claim to have experienced sexual assault by Brand between the years 2006 and 2013.
The 48-year-old comedian refutes all allegations against him and asserts that all his previous relationships were consensual.
Vile Predator’
In 2006, pop star Dannii Minogue termed Brand as a "Vile predator." The Australian singer, who was in the midst of promoting her album shared that Brand displays eccentric behavior and exhibits predatory tendencies.She said that she doesn't believe Brand has overcome his sexual addiction as he was persistently insistent and refused to accept rejection.
She mentioned that he appeared to be quite intelligent but noted that he wore more makeup than she did. She usually found guys with eyeliner attractive, which she mentioned could be very sexy, but she emphasized that it wasn't the case with Russell. She stated unequivocally that he was not her type.
During the entire interview, she observed that he had consistently made shocking remarks that she couldn't even repeat. She added that merely uttering the words would make her blush.
‘Very controlling’
A previous interview featuring Katy Perry, the ex-wife of Brand, has recently come to light. In this interview, the pop star termed Brand's conduct as "‘Very controlling’
" and hinted at an undisclosed "real truth" regarding him.
Brand and Perry were in marriage from October 2010 to July 2012.
In the 2013 Vogue interview, when discussing their past relationship, Perry mentioned that she had felt a significant burden for its conclusion.
Brand started his television career in 2000 by hosting various programs on MTV. Subsequently, he assumed the role of the host for the Channel 4 spin-off show of Big Brother in 2004.
