Snapchat’s 'My AI' feature has been acting strangely, confusing, and even worrying some users. Snapchat lets you publish "Stories," just like other social networks and messaging apps. Stories are essentially short-lived entries that are available for viewing for 24 hours. However, the content posted is also getting attention, not just Snapchat's "My AI" uploading a story as if it were a real user.

According to reports, the chatbot posted a story in which only a wall could be seen in a video for a few seconds, confusing many viewers. Aside from that, numerous users in the US and across the world have stated that Snapchat's 'My AI' feature is unavailable or not working for them. They simply see error messages stating that the feature is 'busy' or that they are experiencing 'technical challenges' while attempting to use it.

Some Snapchat users in the United States also posted screenshots concerning their Snapchat AI, which responded with horrifying responses. Later, Snapchat Support moved to X (formerly Twitter) to notify all affected users that the Snapchat AI had experienced a brief outage.

One user from “What happened To the @Snapchat AI today? Did it get hacked or smth? I really need an explanation for this. It even posted a story but I never clicked on the story tho my internet was acting up today so I thought it was just me then I found out everyone had this.”

The user was then horrified when My AI replied with the address of the user, despite saying that they do not have access to their location. The user subsequently posted a screenshot of the chat, stating, “The Snapchat AI is so creepy but there is literally no way to get rid of it… Bro istfg im deleting Snapchat this shit is too much…”

Following the technical problem in which Snapchat AI published and deleted its own story, the AI chatbot reacted to users with the words 'Sorry, I had a technical difficulty,' leaving users with concerns about the safety of using Snapchat AI.

While the reasons behind these unusual glitches are unknown, they have attracted interest and discussion among Snapchat users. It will be interesting to see if Snapchat tackles and resolves these concerns in the future.
