Sophie Turner, the acclaimed British actress who is going through a divorce with her husband Joe Jonas, was spotted kissing Frank Dillane, her co-actor, while filming for their show 'Joan' in Spain on Wednesday.
Both were seen smiling while acting out an amorous beach scene for the new show produced by ITVX.
In the show, Turner plays the character of a British jewel thief named 'Joan Hannington,' while Dillane plays her husband, 'Boisie Hannington.'
The shooting of the show started in May of this year in England. Just four months later, reports stated that Turner and Jonas were heading for a divorce. The couple also sold their mansion in Florida while abandoning the idea of giving each other their wedding rings.
Turner and Jonas' divorce is another instance in a long line of high-profile divorces that have turned heads. Let's go through some of them.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
Cruise and Holmes dated for a mere seven weeks in 2005, after which they tied the knot in Italy. They also had their daughter, Suri. However, Holmes surprised Cruise with a divorce filing after five and a half years. The couple came to a settlement 11 days later. As per reports, Holmes currently has primary custody of their daughter.
Russell Brand and Katy Perry
Brand and Perry met in September 2009, when both of them were rehearsing for the MTV Music Awards. They started dating, after which Brand asked Perry to marry him during a trip to India on New Year's Eve. They had an Indian wedding in October 2010. However, right after that, they realised that they both had very differing priorities in life. Two years to the day of their engagement, Brand told Perry that he was filing for divorce. Brand also refused to take half of the $44 million that Perry earned during their marriage, an amount he was entitled to.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner
Affleck and Garner, who co-starred in the 2003 movie 'Daredevil,' announced their divorce after being together for nearly 10 years in 2015. However, the couple were separated before the confirmation of the divorce. The situation got even grimmer when Garner confirmed that Affleck was involved with their children's nanny, while at the same time, questions surrounding Affleck's alcoholism started to make the rounds in the media. Garner, however, still helped Affleck during his time in rehab, and both share a cordial relationship post-divorce.
On September 5, Jonas filed for divorce in Miami, where he claimed 'shared parental responsibility' for their two children, who are spending time with him while Turner is away for work.
The very next day, Turner posted a joint statement on her Instagram page announcing the divorce, claiming that the decision was 'mutually decided.'
