In an interesting turn of events, a resurfaced late-night clip from 2004 featuring television host Conan O'Brien and actor Danny Masterson has become the talk of the town after Masterson was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape.
The clip, which has gone viral in the wake of Masterson's sentencing, showcases a seemingly lighthearted exchange that took a dark twist.
Masterson, renowned for his role as Steven Hyde on "That '70s Show," had appeared on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" in 2004. The segment began with Masterson discussing his lack of a Long Island accent despite being a native of the area. However, things took a disturbing turn when he shared an anecdote involving his friend, actor Bodhi Elfman.
Elfman, according to Masterson, playfully teased him by impersonating him in a heavy Long Island accent, saying, "Hi, my name is Danny Masterson, would you like to touch my balls?" The audience was left bewildered by this bizarre anecdote, prompting O'Brien to interject, "So why are you asking people to do that? That's the more important question."
"I mean, you got 'em, you know what I mean? Everybody should grab," Masterson quipped. The studio audience's laughter in the video quickly turned to uncomfortable silence as the exchange took an unsettling turn.
Replying to Masterson's statement, O'Brien reiterated, "I've heard about you, and you'll be caught soon, I know you will." Masterson simply replied with a chilling, "I will."

This resurfaced clip has gained widespread attention on social media platforms with over 2.6 million views within hours of reemerging.
However, what's more interesting is the verdict that came exactly as O'Brien had predicted years ago, just minutes before the clip went viral online.
Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo for having violently raped two women in 2003 during the peak of his fame. Both women, who came to the courtroom to give testimony of their horrowing experiences, received justice, as Masterson was sentenced to 15 years for each count, to be served consecutively, marking the maximum sentence allowed by law.
