Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has shared her journey to address a scar left on her cheek following the removal of a skin cancer tumor. The Kardashian family member underwent surgery to remove a precancerous melanoma last year, which resulted in a four-centimeter wound on her face.
Khloe Kardashian took to Instagram to share her experience and educate her followers about the importance of skin cancer awareness. In a series of posts, she explained her decision to have filler injected into her cheek to minimize the scar.
"For those who do not know, I had a skin cancer scare on my face. We had to remove a tumor from my cheek, and I was left with an indentation. I am definitely not complaining because I would rather have an indentation than melanoma any day," Khloe wrote in her Instagram post.
She emphasized the importance of patience and ensuring the procedure was medically safe, as she waited for over nine months to get the filler treatment. According to Khloe, this will be an ongoing process due to the nature of the scar.
"It will always be something we have to fill due to the mass," she explained.
Khloe Kardashian expressed her gratitude towards the surgeon who removed the tumor, praising his efforts to minimize scarring. She stated, "Not only did he remove the tumor and make sure that I am completely cancer-free, but he did such a stellar job on making my scar as small and beautiful as possible."
Khloe Kardashian urged her followers to prioritize regular skin cancer checks. She emphasized the importance of seeking medical attention if any abnormalities or concerns arise.
"I never imagined that this tiny speck would turn into skin cancer, and I can't fathom what could have possibly happened had I not gone to the doctor to get it looked at. Don't ever feel embarrassed or that you're making a big deal about nothing or that you're being paranoid. There's no such thing as being too careful," Khloe concluded.
