IND Vs SL, First Test, Day 2: Ravindra Jadeja's 175 Not Out, Bowlers Pin Sri Lanka Down - Highlights

Day 2 completely belonged to Ravindra Jadeja for his career-best 175 not out as India piled a mammoth 574/8 decl in Virat Kohli's 100th Test match. Starting the day with an overnight score of 44, the Saurashtra man took the opposition bowlers to cleaners as the visitors had no clue how to stop the southpaw. In the process, Jadeja was involved in three century partnerships in the innings, making him the fifth Indian in the elite list. After his century stand with Rishabh Pant on Day 1, Jadeja forged 130 runs with Ravichandran Ashwin (61) and Mohammed Shami (20 not out). In reply, Sri Lanka looked out of sorts as the visitors lost four wickets at the end of the day. Ashwin took two wickets while Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah took a wicket apiece.
