This year the festival had over 600 artistes from 40 countries presenting a cornucopia of music, theatre, dance and puppetry. The Indian representation was the largest, 158 in all—well-known theatre groups like Yatrik and Sambhav, leading dancers like Sharon Lowen, Navtej Johar, the International Centre for Kathakali and the renowned Rajasthani Manganiyars. The food court, set out in an elegant 'tambu', provided not just wholesome meals but also became an 'adda' for exchanging experiences and forging friendships, including romantic ones, all of which augurs well for the people-to-people contact process!
