Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has inaugurated the Sea Harrier museum developed by the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) on RK Beach Road here.
Following the inauguration on Thursday evening, the Chief Minister took a tour of the museum as Indian Navy officials explained him about the equipment on display.
Further, Reddy laid the foundation stone for a slew of development works in the port city, including other projects, a late night press note on Thursday said.
Initially, he unveiled a statue of former chief minister and his father, the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at Dr. YSR ACA – VDA Cricket Stadium at PM Palem.
Later, he handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh each to women cricketers Shabnam and K Anjali Sravani and appreciated their efforts towards excelling in the sport.
The CM also launched the Andhra Premier League Season – 2.
