Prime accused of the Umesh Pal murder case, Atiq Ahmed reportedly complained about health issues at the Prayagraj jail on Thursday.
A team of two doctors examined Ahmed's condition and gave him medicines for blood pressure. His blood pressure had shot up and he informed the doctors of facing difficulty sleeping. He also said that he did not have more than two hours of sleep in the jail barracks and complained of heat in the cell.
Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf are set to appear before the CJM district court in the Umesh Pal murder case today around 11:00 am reported India Today. A court order will designate the two as accused in the killing of Umesh Pal, who was a witness in the murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal in 2005.
The Uttar Pradesh Police is likely to seek a 14-day remand of the two brothers during the hearing.
Atiq is the main accused in the killing of Umesh Pal, a key witness in the murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal in 2005. Atiq is also facing charges as an accused in the Raju Pal murder case.
