Bengaluru: Fire Breaks Out In AC Coaches Of Stationed Udyan Express, No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out in the stationary Udyan Express at the Bengaluru City Railway Station on Saturday morning. Five fire tenders were sent to the station to control the situation. There were no passengers in the bogies that caught fire.

On Saturday morning, two air-conditioned coaches of a parked Udyan Express at the city railway station in Bengaluru caught fire.  There's no injuries, as there are no passengers in the bogies.

The train arrived from Mumbai at 5.45 am and was stationed at platform three of the Bengaluru City Railway Station, reported PTI.

The Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway Anish Hegde reportedly stated, "At 07.10 am smoke in B1 and B2 coaches was noticed. Immediately a message was given to the fire brigade. Fire brigade arrived by 7.35 am and extinguished the fire."

They're investigating the cause of the fire, he said.

According to PTI, the firefighters broke the window of the coach to extinguish the fire.
