Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday flagged off the state's first mobile millet cafe, "Millet on Wheels", in Raigarh district, an official said.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the initiative will help increase awareness about the consumption of millet.
The Raigarh district administration has started "Millet on Wheels", which will be run by Anubhav women's group, the official said.
The outlet will serve dishes made of ragi, kodo, and kutki varieties of millets, he said.
The state government is promoting the production and consumption of millets under 'Millet Mission', and is also procuring the food grains at support price, the official said.
As a value addition, a processing plant of millets has been set up at Nathia-Navagaon in the Kanker district, and more such units will be established at rural industrial parks being developed in gauthans, he added.
