In a bid to boost infrastructure development across the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership has spurred the Uttar Pradesh state government into action.
The Public Works Department has greenlit a significant budget of ₹176.69 crore to fast-track various projects throughout the region. This financial injection will fuel a range of important initiatives, including the construction of railway overbridges, rural roads, and a bypass in Sitapur. Notably, in Mahmoodabad, a 2.10 km bypass and a 4-lane bypass in the Bargadwa-Kauwabad area of Gorakhpur are in the pipeline. Furthermore, a substantial ₹44.86 crore has been earmarked to finalize the construction of a bridge at Khajanachi Chauraha on a key roadway.
This concerted effort marks a determined push to rev up the pace of infrastructure development within the state. Over the weekend, the Public Works Department provided the green light to a range of projects across various schemes, cumulatively amounting to ₹176.69 crore.
In a similar vein, an allocation of ₹124.57 crore has been channeled towards expediting ten construction projects, comprising three railway overbridges and seven lengthy bridges, as part of the RIDF scheme at three distinct locations within the state.
Additionally, a sum of ₹44.86 crore has been set aside for the construction of bypass ring roads and flyovers, slated for completion during the fiscal year 2023-24.
Notably, Prayagraj is set to witness the construction of a four-lane railway overbridge, while a bridge will grace the Allahabad-Mughalsarai railway section in the city.
