The medical examination of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash on Wednesday confirmed injuries on and near his face. The were cut marks and swelling around his face, said the police.

Prakash on Tuesday alleged that he was manhandled by Aam Aadmi Party MLA's on Monday night at behest of Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence.

In a letter, the chief secretary alleged that the AAP MLAs abused him at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence and also threatened him to file false cases against him including under the SC/ST Act.

However, the AAP has refuted Prakash's allegation and also lodged a complaint against the chief secretary under Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Speaking to ANI, AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal said, "We have lodged a complaint with SC/ST Commission against the casteist comments made by the Delhi Chief Secretary. We had asked him about an area where people were not getting basic facilities like medicine, the Chief Secretary suddenly shouted 'maine Daliton ki thekedaari nahi le rakhi hai'. His temper was high. He said 'you are not fit to be an MLA, I will only reply to Lieutenant Governor of Delhi."

His medical examination was conducted by the doctors at Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital.

Both the MLAs accused of assaulting the Chief Secretary have been arrested by the Delhi Police.

IAS officers across the country staged protest against the alleged manhandling. Delhi bureaucrats have also said that they would boycott all meetings called by Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet colleagues till the chief minister apologised for the incident.

Haryana IAS officers association collectively decided to wear black badges on Wednesday as a mark of protest against the assault.

"The events of that night are highly disturbing and manifestly criminal in intent and purpose," it said in a press release. " this outrageous, shocking and cowardly act is, in itself, a dastardly and shameless attack on nasic principal of Rule of Law."
