In a tragic incident in Delhi's Sanjay Colony area, Mohammad Hanif, a 38-year-old porter, lost his life while trying to protect his 14-year-old son from a group of boys. The altercation began when his son encountered a group of four or five youngsters sitting on his bike, blocking his way as he tried to retrieve it from a nearby street late on Friday night, NDTV reported

Tragically, instead of diffusing the situation, the confrontation took a deadly turn as the group of boys turned on Mr. Hanif, brutally attacking him with bricks.
Authorities were alerted to the incident, and a police team swiftly arrived at the scene. They rushed Mr. Hanif to the AIIMS trauma center, but despite their efforts, the medical staff declared him deceased.
