Fire Breaks Out On TV Serial Set in Mumbai's Film City

According to a BMC official, the fire started on the ground floor, in an area of 2,000 square feet in Goregaon Film City in Mumbai.

A massive fire broke out on the sets of a television serial in Mumbai’s Film City on Friday afternoon, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation informed. The blaze that erupted around 4:30 pm has now been declared a Level III fire. No injuries have been reported so far.

According to a BMC official, the fire started on the ground floor, in an area of 2,000 square feet in Goregaon Film City on the sets of "Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin".

Several videos of the fire were doing rounds on social media platforms. Thick clouds of black smoke emanating from the studio could be seen from afar.

At least 12 fire engines, seven water jetties, one water tanker, three automatic turn-tables (AWTT), one quick response vehicle and other fire brigade vehicles were at the spot, the official said.
