G-20 Summit: Guest List For The Gala Dinner On Saturday

Congress chief and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has not been invited to the dinner hosted by President Murmu on Saturday.

The President-hosted G20 special dinner on Saturday in Delhi will include all cabinet and state ministers, chief ministers and secretaries to the Government Of India. Former Prime Ministers Dr Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda are also invited to grace the occasion. However, Gowda’s compromised health condition won’t allow him to attend the dinner. Those not invited are leaders from political parties- this includes Congress chief and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge. Chief Ministers Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren, Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann have confirmed their attendance. 

The dinner will be held at the multi-function hall of the revamped India Trade Promotion Organisation Complex, Bharat Mandapam in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. A short cultural programme alongside the gala dinner has also been scheduled, said Mukesh Pardeshi, a special secretary of the G-20 and the head of operations and logistics for the summit, as reported by NDTV. 

The invited guests have been requested to reach the Parliament House tomorrow at quarter to six in the evening. Special transport arrangements have also been made to take them to Bharat Mandapam and back.

The Delhi Police has been assigned the responsibility to bring all the Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State, Chief Ministers, Secretaries, and specials guests from their respective residence to the Parliament House.

PM Modi will also arrive at the venue at 9 am since their are two sessions to be held at Bharat Mandapam on Saturday-he will welcome World Leaders and host a working lunch for them , officials confirmed.
