Two Go First flights to Mumbai on Tuesday were diverted to Surat Airport. One of the flights were from Srinagar while the other one from Delhi.
The passengers of the aircraft were onboard when they landed in Surat.
As per media reports, Surat airport director Rupesh Kumar told that the reason behind the diversion of the flights is not clear.
This took place on the same day as the airlines filed for bankruptcy.
According to the airlines' CEO Kaushik Khona, Go First flights will remain suspended for three days – May 3, 4 and 5 – as it has been facing a severe fund crunch,
The airline has informed the government about the developments and will be submitting a detailed report to the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
