Bengaluru-based startup CEO Suchana Seth who is accused of taking the life of her son had given her statement to the police based on which the investigators have reportedly started the probe and termed it as 'voluntary disclosure'. The estranged husband of Seth, Venkat Raman recorded his statement on Saturday.

According to a PTI report, Seth allegedly smothered her son to death in a Candolim service apartment in north Goa, then packed the child's body in a bag and attempted to travel back to Bengaluru in a taxi. However, she was arrested midway on January 8 in Chitradurga, Karnataka.

Following Suchana Seth's statement, the police dedicated two and a half hours to reconstructing the crime scene, aiming to clarify any unresolved aspects in the ongoing investigation.

According to a Times of India report, upon completing this reconstruction, known as a "panchanama," which is an official record of observations made in the presence of witnesses, Suchana signed the document, affirming its accuracy.

A police officer told TOI, "She showed us where her son was lying in the room, where the suitcase she stuffed the boy into was kept, and how she put the body in." Based on this, the data scientist also demonstrated how Seth attempted to take her life by slashing her wrist in the same hotel room.

The reports also suggest that Seth had bought a one-way ticket to Goa from Bengaluru as she might have planned to return by road earlier.
