Gujarat BJP president CR Paatil has appointed new district unit presidents for Banaskantha, Devbhumi Dwarka, Amreli, and Surendranagar districts, a party release said on Monday.
While the post of the district chief was vacant in Amreli and Surendranagar, district committees in the rest two districts were dissolved by Paatil after incumbent presidents had expressed their desire to step down, it said.
Former Minister of State for Education, Kirtisinh Vaghela, will be the new district unit chief for Banaskantha. He lost to Congress' Amrutji Thakor from the Kankrej seat in the December 2022 state Assembly polls.
Three other new appointees include Mayurdan Gadhvi, Rajesh Kabaria, and Hitendrasinh Chauhan for Devbhumi Dwarka, Amreli, and Surendranagar districts, respectively.
