Over the past few days, the death count has risen near 100 in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha. In recent reports, the Ballia Hospital in Uttar Pradesh saw the deaths of 68 patients. Even though the district health official claimed that the deaths happened due to heatwave, he was removed from the post and another senior government doctor stated that the deaths prima facie did not appear to have happened due to the heatwave.
