Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called Congress a familyist party with a history of scams worth thousands and said that if the people of Madhya Pradesh give them a chance in the upcoming Assembly polls, they will suffer a huge loss.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Karyakarta Mahakumbh in Bhopal when he spoke to an audience about the dark sides of the Congress rule in India and why the upcoming Assembly polls in the state are very crucial.
PM Modi said, "This is the time to make India and Madhya Pradesh developed. At such a crucial time, if a familyist party like Congress, which has a history of scams worth thousands of scams, gets a chance, then MP will suffer a big loss."
He also claimed that the Congress turned rich Madhya Pradesh into 'BIMARU' or a weak state during its long rule after Independence. Further explaining, "The youths of the state have not seen the deplorable law and order condition during the Congress rule."
Further, PM Modi also said that the Congress party spreads negativity and doesn't like the achievements of the nation. He said, "They want to take country back to 20th Century."
"Congress means bad governance and 'kuniti'; it destroyed party-ruled states with crores of corruption," added PM.
Speaking of the upcoming polls, PM Modi said, "the upcoming (MP Assembly) polls are very crucial. We have to make sure that the path of development created by people of MP, that vehicle of development doesn't wander or stop."
PM Modi on the BJP governance in MP so far
He told the audience in Bhopal, "The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has completed almost 20 years. This means the youths who will voting for the first time in the upcoming elections, they have only seen BJP government. They are fortunate that that haven't seen the bad governance of Congress in Madhya Pradesh."
Calling the state 'heart of the nation', PM Modi declares, "BJP has a special connection with the nation's heart."
He also praised the karyakartas who were present in the programme about their contribution to the party, he said, "This public uprising, this joy, this excitement, this 'mahakumbh' of workers says a lot. It shows what is in the heart of Madhya Pradesh."
PM on Women's Reservation Bill
PM Modi claimed, "Cong and allies backed women's reservation bill on compulsion. Its passage possible as 'Modi hai to Mumkin hai'."
The prime minister calling the INDIA alliance as 'Ghamandia' alliance, said that they couldn't dare to oppose the women's reservation bill because women are now aware. He said, "In the last nine years, the way Indian women have become empowered, these parties (opposition) didn't have the courage to oppose the Women's Reservation Bill."
"'Nari Shati Vandan Adhiniyam' (Women's Reservation Bill) created a new history in the country. Women of the country waited for several decades, and it was also said that it might never be done. But there is guarantee for every every guarantee getting fulfilled when there is Modi. However, I want to caution the women of India, the Congress and its new 'ghamandiya' alliance supported this Bill half-heartedly and reluctantly," added PM Modi in his speech.
