The annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra began in Puri on Tuesday. Three traditionally decked up wooden chariots of the three deities were pulled to the Gundicha temple from the main Jagannath temple. The festival ends after nine days when the deities return home.
