Bihar became the latest state to impose a lockdown amid rising Covid-19 cases.
The lockdown will be effective till May 15, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted.
“After holding discussions with various minister and officials yesterday, we decided to implement the lockdown in Bihar till May 15, 2021. Further guidelines in this regard will be issued by the state crisis management today,” Kumar tweeted.
This development comes in the backdrop of the state’s Covid tally breaching the five lakh-mark on Monday as it reported 11,407 fresh infections.
