India's COVID-19 tally rose to 5,48,318 on Monday with single-day spike of 19,459 new infections, according to the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll due to the virus climbed to 16,475 with 380 fatalities being reported in the last 24 hours.
Currently, India has 2,10,120 active cases of coronavirus whereas 3,21,722 people have recovered.
