Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday dismissed the speculations of a lockdown in the national capital, saying the government has no such plans.
Amid the rising number of Coronavirus cases in Delhi in last 10 days, speculations were rife that the government may impose another lockdown to bring the situation under control.
Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal wrote: “Many people are speculating whether another lockdown in Delhi in being planned. There are no such plans.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also held a meeting with the leaders of all political parties of Delhi on Monday to discuss about the novel coronavirus situation.
The meeting comes as the COVID-19 tally climbed by over 10,000 and breached the 40,000 mark in Delhi in just last six days.
