A man went out to buy groceries on Wednesday, but to the family's shock, returned after marrying a woman in Ghaziabad's Sahibabad area. Enraged by the son's decision, the mother denied the newly-wed entry into the house, news agency ANI reported.
In the video, shared by the news agency, the man says the couple had gotten married at a nearby temple. "The priest said he would help us get a marriage certificate once the lockdown is lifted," the man said. "If you want we can get the priest to corroborate what we are a saying."
Why didn't he get the certificate immediately?
This time, the bride, in a veil, mumbled something about "lockdown" and then said: "We had already had word with the priest. He said he would make arrangements."
Distraught that he was not being allowed entry, the man said he had been earning and living in the same house for years. "Do I have the freedom to make my choices or not," the man asked.
