IndiGo Airlines: Passenger Onboard Delhi-Chennai Flight Attempts Opening Emergency Door, Taken Into Custody By CISF

In an untoward incident, a passenger onboard a Delhi-Chennai flight of IndiGo Airlines attempted to open the emergency door of the airplane early on Wednesday. As per media reports, the incident occurred on IndiGo flight 6E 6341, that took flight from Delhi on Tuesday night.

The man, who was identified as Manikandan, was later handed over to officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on arrival at the Chennai airport, CISF officials took him into custody after receiving the details of the incident.

Moreover, an official complaint has also been filed against the man by the IndiGo authorities. Further investigation into the matter is underway.

"Upon arrival, our crew identified one passenger tried to open the emergency exit door. Unruly passenger form filled, hence as per procedure, we are about to lodge a complaint in police station. Requesting your team to allocate CISF officials to escort the passenger to the police station," the official letter written to the CISF authorities on Wednesday read.
