In a scathing rebuke on Saturday, the JD(U) expressed disapproval of the BJP's decision to exclude Bihar leaders from its list of new national office-bearers. JD(U) spokesperson Rajib Ranjan claimed that this omission signifies the ruling party's lack of confidence in securing victory in Bihar during the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Ranjan pointed out that while Uttar Pradesh had eight representatives in the new list of BJP's vice presidents, general secretaries, and secretaries, only one leader from Bihar was included in the roster. Surprisingly, no Bihar BJP leader was assigned the roles of vice president or general secretary.
Taking a dig at the BJP's leaders, including the prime minister and home minister, who often assert a special bond with Bihar, Ranjan questioned the sincerity of their claims. He urged them to explain the absence of Bihar leaders in crucial national leadership positions if they truly held the state dear, according to PTI.
The JD(U) spokesperson further asserted that this development indicates the BJP's waning optimism in Bihar's political landscape, leading them to anticipate an unfavorable outcome in the state during the 2024 polls.
