A 16-year-old girl was raped in a Hookah bar in Uttar Pradesh in Uttar Kanpur. The accused, identified as Vinay Thakur was friends on social media with the minor, and was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in a hookah bar after spiking her cold drink.
The survivor’s father, a doctor by profession has filed a case against the man, Vinay Thakur, who is also from Kanpur, along with seven others. On March 4, Thakur called the girl to MG Cafe in Karrahi, where they smoked hookah, the police complaint said. He slipped some sedative in the girl's drink and raped her in the cafe, it said. He then took the girl to a deserted place where seven of his friends joined him, and they tried to gang-rape the girl, the complaint added as per an NDTV report.
When the minor girl resisted the assault, the accused bit all over her body. She narrated her trauma to her parents, who are both doctors after somehow managing to reach home. Local media reported the accused thrashing and scratching her, leaving behind scars on the girl’s cheek and forehead.
The man had reportedly also filmed an obscene video of the minor, blackmailing and threatening her of making the video viral for the last few days. Local media reports were quoted saying that the complaint also reveals that the man earlier carved his name on the girl's chest with a blade to ensure 16-year-olds couldn’t marry somebody else. He had also threatened her with a lighter, and burnt her hair in the past, they added.
The girl was reportedly living and preparing for engineering entrance examinations in Rajasthan's Kota, and Vinay had even followed her there and beat her up in a hotel room, the parents alleged. The complaint also claims that he used to transfer the money they sent her for sustenance to his own bank account.
