Karnataka geologist who was killed at her home in Bengaluru on Saturday has left her colleagues shocked as they recall her as one of their bravest officers. One of the colleagues said that she had recently raided few places as part of her work. The driver of the deceased has been arrested as part of the investigation by the Bengaluru police.
A high-ranking official from the Karnataka Environment Department called Dinesh informed the press that Prathima was a remarkably proactive individual who had established a strong reputation within the department through her diligent efforts.
Dinesh reportedly said, "She was a very dynamic lady. She was very brave too. Be it raids or any action, she earned a great reputation in the department. She recently raided a few places."
"She didn't make any enemies. According to the new rules, she did her work well and earned a great name," the officer said.
The colleagues of a Karnataka government officer who was found murdered at her home in Bengaluru are shocked that one of their bravest officers is no more.
On Saturday, Prathima was dropped her home after work by her driver as per earlier reports. the investigation revealed that the murder happened around 8.30 pm.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand told NDTV, "One suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the murder case. He was working as a driver and he was removed from the work, probably seven to 10 days earlier."
Prathima KS, a 45-year-old employee of the Mines and Geology Department, was discovered fatally stabbed in her residence in Subramanyapora, Bengaluru. At the time, her husband and son were in Shivamogga district, which is approximately 300 km away from Bengaluru.
Early on Sunday, Prathima's brother visited her residence and tragically found her lifeless. The night before, he had attempted to contact her but received no response, prompting him to alert the police.
