Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan while paying tributes to Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia and Madhavrao Scindia said that today is a historic day for Shivpuri. Tiger has returned again after 27 years in Shivpuri district. The arrival of tigers is very beneficial not only from environment's point of view but also from tourism perspective. Shivpuri will get global recognition with the arrival of tigers. A tiger project will be developed here which will boost the employment opportunities. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan participated in the Ladli Bahna dialogue and tourism promotion programme in Shivpuri district today. He inaugurated the programme with Kanya Poojan and lighting the lamp.
Apprising about the recently announced Ladli Bahna Yojana, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that earlier the birth of a girl child was considered a curse on the land of Madhya Pradesh, now the girl child is considered as a boon. Ladli Laxmi Yojana for daughters and Prasuti Sahayata Yojana for worker sisters were started. Now the Ladli Bahna scheme has been launched. This scheme will make women financially empowered. The applications for the scheme will be filled from March 25. Sisters need not to worry about any certificate. For their convenience, forms will be filled by setting-up camps in the villages and wards itself.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that today is a historic day. On the birth anniversary of respected father Late Madhavrao Scindia, this is a true tribute to take forward the sequence of development and progress. Today many gifts are being given for the development of Shivpuri. He said that a new history has been created today. In the old Gwalior state, there were two Ankur pearls. One pearl used to be of Kuno and the other pearl was of Madhav National Park of Shivpuri. Both of these have been established by my forefathers. Over time, wild animals became extinct from both of them. Today, after 27 years, a tiger has come again in Shivpuri and it has come under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He said that the Chief Minister has returned the honour of the area by bringing a tiger to Shivpuri. The roar of these tigers will echo from one corner to the other. He said that after several preparations, approval was obtained from the central and state governments with a DPR of Rs. 18 crore. As a result, today a male and a female tiger pair have been released in the tiger enclosure built in Ballarpur. Due to this, business will increase in Shivpuri area and local people will get employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed benefits to women self-help groups of Ladli Laxmi, Pradhan Mantri Awas, Mukhya Mantri Bal Ashirwad Yojana, Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme and Ajeevika Mission. The Chief Minister also released an illustrated booklet focusing on the tourism of Shivpuri district. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Khajuraho MP Shri V.D. Sharma also addressed.
In-charge of Shivpuri district and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Minister of State for Public Works Shri Suresh Dhakad, regional MP Dr. KP Yadav, MLAs, public representatives and a large number of women and citizens were present.
