Light Rainfall, Wind In Delhi-NCR Improves AQI To 'Very Poor' After Being 'Severe' For 6 Days; More Showers Likely

Light rain in parts of Delhi-NCR has brought some relief after six days of deteriorating air quality in the national capital. As of 8 am this morning, the AQI in Delhi  stood at 393, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Light rain in parts of Delhi-NCR has brought some relief after six days of deteriorating air quality in the national capital. As of 8 am this morning, the AQI in Delhi  stood at 393, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The weather conditions are likely to stay cloudy for the rest of the day with rains and thunderstorms in parts of Delhi till late evening. The air quality in Delhi was recorded in the "severe" category on Thursday at 437, worsening from 426 on Wednesday.  An AQI between 0-50 is considered "good", 51-100 "satisfactory", 101-200 "moderate", 201-300 "poor", 301-400 "very poor" and 401-500 "severe"
