Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole on Saturday said while party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge posed serious questions in Parliament, the prime minister gave a speech as if he was speaking at a Paan shop.

Patole, a former MP, was speaking to reporters here about the expunging of Rahul Gandhi's remarks on the Adani issue from the Lok Sabha's records.

"Our leader Rahul Gandhi posed questions related to Adani and what is the relation between (prime minister Narendra) Modi ji and Adani, and what SEBI and RBI were doing; all these questions were expunged from the Lok Sabha's records," he said.

Money invested by common people in the LIC and State Bank of India was being "looted", Patole alleged.

"Rahul Gandhi posed questions in the Lok Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge raised questions in the Rajya Sabha, and the prime minister gave a speech as if he was giving a speech at a Paan shop," he added.
