A fire destroyed a scrap godown in Maharashtra’s Thane district in the early hours of Thursday, a fire brigade official said.
No one was injured in the blaze that broke out around 3 am at the godown in Katai village, Bhiwandi, the official said.
Firefighters from Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation took three hours to bring the fire under control. Everything inside the godown was destroyed, he said.
Cooling operations are underway, said the official, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
