Maharashtra Records 15 Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Mumbai recorded two cases. The sole Covid-19 fatality in the state was recorded in Kalyan-Dombivli area in neighbouring Thane district.

Maharashtra on Friday recorded 15 new coronavirus cases and one death, the state health department said.

The state's caseload rose to 81,69,736, and death toll on account of the pandemic to 1,48,554.

The state had recorded eight cases and zero fatalities on Thursday.

Mumbai recorded two cases. The sole COVID-19 fatality in the state was recorded in Kalyan-Dombivli area in neighbouring Thane district. 

There are 101 active cases in the state now. 

With 20 patients recovering from coronavirus infection since previous evening, cumulative recoveries rose to 80,21,081. The recovery rate in the state is 98.18 per cent.

As many as 2,804 tests were conducted in the state in the last 24 hours, taking the total of tests carried out so far to 8,72,91,089.
