The Ministry of Home Affairs has officially designated Goldy Brar, a Canada-based gangster, as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Brar, also known as Satwinder Singh or Satinderjit Singh, had previously taken responsibility for the bold assassination of Indian rap star and Congress politician Sidhu Moosewala. Additionally, he had issued threats to Salman Khan and was reportedly running criminal operations from Canada, collaborating with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Born on April 11, 1994, Brar is associated with the pro-Khalistan terrorist group, Babbar Khalsa, and had allegedly orchestrated Moosewala's murder as retaliation for the killing of student leader Vicky Middukhera. The official notification from the Centre revealed that Brar, supported by a cross-border agency, engaged in multiple killings, espoused radical ideologies, made threatening calls to pro-nationalist leaders, and boasted about his criminal activities on various social media platforms.
The Centre further outlined Brar's involvement in smuggling high-grade arms, ammunition, and explosive materials through drones from across the border for his violent endeavors. His nefarious designs aimed at disrupting the peace, communal harmony, and law and order in Punjab, including sabotaging, establishing terror modules, carrying out targeted killings, and participating in anti-national activities.
In response to Brar's criminal activities, the Central Government had issued a red-corner notice to INTERPOL last year. The government firmly believes that Brar is deeply entwined in terrorism, prompting the decision to add him to the Fourth Schedule of the UAPA.
The chargesheet filed in the Moose Wala murder case implicated Brar as the mastermind behind the 2022 assassination in Punjab's Mansa. The document, spanning 1,850 pages, provides detailed insights into Brar's role in the heinous crime, solidifying the government's stance against him.
Alongside Brar, individuals like Cristian Adolfo Cuxum, Rabih Alkhalil, Cody Casey, Saed Osman, Kiarash Parzham, Talal Amer, Jabreel Elmi, Rajahden Angus Campbell, Jonathan Ouellet-Gendron, and Mohamed Shire are currently wanted, as per the BOLO most wanted list.
Additionally, Canada's most wanted list for heinous crimes includes names such as Phuong Tan Nguyen, Danick Miguel Bourgeois, Malique Calloo, Kamar Cunningham, Youcef Bouras, David Allen Bonness, Zakria Mousa, Omar Abukar, Daniel Tomassetti, Phillip Grant, Kier Bryan Granado, Nouraldin Rabee, and Savang Sychantha, as reported by C24 news.
