Tragedy struck an apartment complex in Bengaluru's tech corridor as a nine-year-old girl, identified as Manasa, was discovered lifeless in the swimming pool on Friday. The incident has left the community in shock and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her demise, according to PTI.
According to reports, Manasa lived with her family in the same apartment complex where the unfortunate incident occurred. Residents allege that the young girl may have accidentally fallen into the swimming pool after reportedly coming into contact with a live wire dangling from a nearby light pole. The police, however, have not confirmed the cause of death, emphasizing the need for a post-mortem examination.
In his complaint, the grieving father expressed suspicion that his daughter drowned after accidentally falling into the pool around 7:30 pm on Thursday. The girl was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
The police are actively investigating the incident, considering various angles, including the possibility of electrocution. As of now, there are no visible injury marks on the girl's body, and authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report for a conclusive determination of the cause of death.
In response to the tragedy, residents of the apartment complex staged a protest, demanding justice for Manasa. The father, addressing reporters, urged the police to thoroughly investigate the matter and assign responsibility
