Foreign secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra on Monday shared details about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming US tour.
In a briefing, Kwatra said: "...It's a milestone in our relationship between the two countries...It is a very significant visit, a very important visit. A visit on which there is a genuine and widespread deep interest in the United States...".
He also said: "PM is visiting the US on 21st through 23rd of June on the invitation of the US President Joe Biden and the first lady Jill Biden.”
He said: "This will be Prime Minister's first official State visit to the United States..”.
He said there will talks on Indo-Pacific region, key defence deals, predators' drones deal, military-tech and cooperation on PM's agenda with US.
He also said PM Modi will also visit Egypt on June 24-June 25 for the first time.
