PM Modi To Visit Jakarta On September 6 And 7 To Attend ASEAN-India Summit

After a short gap following the 15th BRICS Summit in South Africa, PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are likely to meet again in Indonesia.

Right ahead of the much awaited multilateral event of the year, the 18th G20 Summit to be hosted by India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to travel to Jakarta, Indonesia on 06-07 September 2023 at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.

During his visit, PM Modi will attend the 20th ASEAN-India Summit and 18th East Asia Summit being hosted by Indonesia as current Chair of ASEAN.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA),"the forthcoming ASEAN-India Summit will be the first Summit since the elevation of India-ASEAN relations to a Comprehensive Strategic PartnersXi Jinping are again likely to meet in Indonesia.

The East Asia Summit is expected to provide an opportunity for Leaders of ASEAN countries and its eight dialogue partners, including India, to exchange views on issues of regional and global significance.
