Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the Whatsapp Channels feature on the Whatsapp messaging application on Tuesday hours after he and other ministers held their first Parliamentary session in the new building. PM Modi also shared a photo of himself inside the building in his first post.
PTI shared a screenshot on X which showcased the first post shared by PM Modi on his verified Whatsapp Channel in the afternoon on Tuesday.
In his debut post on the channel, PM Modi wrote a message along with his photo, he wrote, "Thrilled to join the WhatsApp community! It is yet another step closer in our journey of continued interactions. Let's stay connected here! Here's a picture the new Parliament Building..."
The message was sent at 3:52 PM hours after the first Lok Sabha session in the new Parliament building was adjourned.
The Whatsapp Channels is a new feature on the application that allows users to start a one-way broadcasting channel while connecting a large number of subscribers at once.
This is not the first time that the prime minister is going to interact with the citizens through an online platform, he has been quite active on his X profile for years now. Through this PM Modi aims to stay even more closely connected with the citizens ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
