President Smt. Draupadi Murmu was accorded a grand welcome on her arrival at the Raj Bhavan. Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel felicitated her by presenting a bouquet. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary to Governor Shri DP Ahuja, Director General of Police Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena were present along with other senior officers on the occasion.
She is visiting the state to attend the launch of "Utkarsh and Unmesh" festival organized by the Sangeet Natak Acadaemy and Sahitya Academy for expression of India's national folk and tribal culture. The national festivals are being orgazined under the Union Ministry of Culture along with the Madhya Pradesh Government from 3rd August to 5th Auguest. She is visiting the state of Madhya Pradesh for the fifth time, since she became The President of India.
