Protests Across India Over Nupur Sharma's Comments On Prophet Muhammad

Protests erupted in several parts of the country on Friday against former Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma's comment's on Prophet Muhammad. Protests in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj and Jharkhand's Ranchi turned violent where police had to resort to lathi-charge and aerial firing. The police had to resort to lathi-charge in West Bengal's Howrah too.
