In the midst of growing indications that Rahul Gandhi may once again contest from Kerala's Wayanad constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the former Congress chief conveyed on Wednesday that the southern state and the hill constituency hold a special place in his heart.

With less than six months remaining before the scheduled Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi emphasized that visiting Kerala and Wayanad is not merely work for him.

"I consider it like coming back to my family and meeting my friends. The more I come to Kerala and Wayanad, the more I feel that it is my home," reportedly said the Congress MP from Wayanad.

These sentiments were expressed by Gandhi after he unveiled a book dedicated to the late Muslim League Leader P Seethi Haji in the region.
