In the midst of the ongoing political rift surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary statement on the Manipur violence, Rahul Gandhi, the prominent Congress leader, has launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Central government. In a video shared on Twitter, Gandhi accused BJP party of being power-hungry, willing to let the country burn in its pursuit of authority.
In his Twitter message, Rahul Gandhi passionately remarked, "The BJP-RSS is solely driven by a thirst for power, and they will go to any extent to achieve it. They have shown no regard for the well-being and suffering of our people – be it in Manipur or any other part of the nation." He further emphasized, "As someone who loves India, it deeply pains me to witness any form of violence in our country. Unfortunately, the BJP and RSS seem to be indifferent to the anguish faced by our fellow citizens."
The verbal clash between the Prime Minister and senior Congress leaders escalated when Narendra Modi criticized the Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) as a directionless entity, drawing controversial comparisons to historical references like the East India Company and Indian Mujahideen (IM). Responding to these remarks, Rahul Gandhi defiantly asserted, "Regardless of your labels, Mr. Modi, we stand united as INDIA. We are committed to healing Manipur's wounds and bringing solace to every woman and child. Our mission is to restore love, peace, and harmony to every corner of the region, rebuilding the very essence of India in Manipur."
