Sakshi Malik on Monday said that she has rejoined duties at the Indian Railways and refuted reports that she has quit the wrestlers protests.
Malik in a tweet said that she continues to be a part of the wrestlers protests while also discharging her professional duties.
The update from Sakshi came after media reports said that she has withdrawn from the wrestlers protsets.
Sharing a photo of one such report, Sakshi said "it is completely wrong".
She tweeted in Hindi, "This news is completely wrong. No one has stepped back from the fight for justice and no one will step back. I am discharging my duties at the Railways along with my Satyagrah (protest). The fight will continue till we get justice. Please don't spread any wrong news."
The Hindu quoted Malik's mother as saying that all the protesting wrestlers are together.
ANI on Monday reported that Malik and fellow protesting wrestler Bajrang Punia have rejoined their posts as OSD (Sports) in Indian Railways.
For weeks, top Indian wrestlers, including Malik, have been protesting against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is also a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He faces allegations of sexual harassment.
